Velayati: Confrontation with U.S. and Zionist regime will continue with strength

Pars Today — Ali Akbar Velayati, Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on International Affairs, emphasized the continuation and intensification of the struggle against the United States and the Zionist regime.

In a phone conversation with Nouri al-Maliki, a prominent Iraqi figure, Velayati congratulated the Iraqi people on their recent parliamentary election victory and exchanged views on regional and international developments.

Referring to the recent thwarted plots by Iran’s adversaries and the statements of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Velayati said: “The Iranian nation has once again foiled the enemies’ conspiracies, but this is not the end of the road. The United States must be held accountable for its actions.”

He stressed that these events were not only directed against Iran but targeted the entire region. The Resistance Front—which includes Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen—will stand with greater unity against the expansionist projects of the United States and the Zionist regime.
