Iran beats Argentina 3-1 at 2019 VNL week 2

Looking over volleyball news, Iran have defeated Argentina 3-1 in week 2 of the 2019 Volleyball Nations League in Tokyo.

According to Press TV, the Asian powerhouses dominated the match in the 1st set and finished it 25-19 in their favor. But the Argentinean fought back in the 2nd set that led to their 25-20 victory. Iran’s team showed resilience in the third set and overpowered Argentina 25-22.

Finally, in a breathtaking contest Iran managed to win the 4th set marathon 34-32 to register another victory in the tournament. On Sunday, Iran will meet the hosts, Japan, and Argentina will meet Brazil.
