Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi called on the western countries to accelerate fulfillment of their undertakings under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the nuclear deal.
"Iran has fulfilled its obligations in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and other sides of the talks should do the same in a way that Iranian nation will witness the tangible results of execution of the nuclear deal," Takht Ravanchi said in a meeting with Secretary General of the French Foreign Ministry Christian Masset in Tehran on Monday evening.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister, meantime, pointed to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's trip to Paris, and said, "The ground is ready for the expansion of all-out ties between Tehran and Paris."
Masset, for his part, underlined that Iran is an influential county in the region, and said, "Paris welcomes expansion of bilateral ties with Iran as well as cooperation on regional issues."
He said France is doing its best to facilitate enhancement of economic ties with Iran by removal of banking obstacles.
"Tehran and Paris cooperation for confronting terrorists' threats and resolution of regional issues is necessary," the French official added.
