Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in his speech today on Rajab 27, the anniversary of Mab’ath – the day God Almighty entrusted the universal message of Islam to His Last and Greatest Messenger, Prophet Mohammad (SAWA) – said that in addition to the fundamental principle of monotheism, the divine goals of raising prophets include social justice to save mankind from the plots of satanic elements, such as the US of our own times, which is the most evil enemy of Iran.

In his televised speech to the nation and beyond, he pointed out that God took pledge from prophets throughout history regarding the mission of the Prophet of Islam, whose name and features were mentioned in the heavenly scriptures revealed to them, including the original undistorted Torah and the Evangel; and as a matter of fact Jesus has referred to him by his name (“Hmda” or the ‘Most Praiseworthy’, which means “Ahmad” in Arabic).

Ayatollah Khamenei said: “Thus, Mab’ath contains great concepts, and belief in these, makes us lead a virtuous life that includes social and economic justice, which (the Prophet’s First Infallible Heir) Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS) practically demonstrated over fourteen centuries ago during his model government of justice and civil liberties, well before Westerners were to take note of these.”

He said the Prophet of Islam worked wonders in building the monolithic Ummah, which for centuries after him made the Islamic realm the strongest and glorious civilization in terms of science, technology, culture, economy, politics, and military.

He added: “If we act honestly today by overcoming laziness and shortsightedness, we can take Iran to the pinnacles of political, military, cultural, scientific and economic glories, in view of the fact that our cherished goal is to reestablish the Islamic civilization.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution pointed out: “Prophets had many enemies, which means we shouldn't be surprised at having enemies. Our most vicious enemy is the US regime, made up of lying, deceitful, and avaricious charlatans, and merciless terrorists.”

He elaborated: “The US pretended a few times of its supposed readiness to help Iran with medicines to fight the Coronavirus outbreak. That's strange. First, based on the words of your own officials, you face shortages in the US. So use what you have for your own patients.

“Second, you are believed to have created Coronavirus. I don't know; but when you are facing such a charge, can any wise person trust you? You might send medicines that spread the virus or cause it to remain. Experience shows you can’t be trusted, since you have a record of doing such things.”

Ayatollah Khamenei also noted: “Part of this virus is said to have been manufactured for Iran by using genetic samples collected from some Iranians, which is proof of their (American) hostility.”

He called on the public to follow the instructions of the national headquarters tasked with fighting the coronavirus, saying “everyone should observe the guidelines, in view of the fact that even religious gatherings have been cancelled in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is unprecedented in our history.”

The Leader expressed confidence in the ability of Iranian scientists and doctors to contain the disease, calling on the officials to use the country's capacities, including its young population, to solve the problems. “May God remove this disease from all the people of the world,” he said.

He noted: “Our 40-year experience shows that the country has the capacity to deal with problems and challenges at any level.”

Ayatollah Khamenei said the disease is set to take a toll on the economy, which requires patience on our part, the same patience the Iranians have been showing against their enemies since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

He added: “Being patient, however, does not mean to surrender. It means to confront the enemy with bravery and prudence. I have said many times that the country must be strong. Our source of strength is (God’s Revealed Word) the Holy Qur’an and the Mab’ath (Start of the Prophet’s universal mission of Islam). Our strength spans the economic, political, cultural, defence and propagation fields.”
