Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the country has shipped medical items to Germany, Lebanon and Afghanistan as a gesture of solidarity amid the coronavirus outbreak.

According to Tasnim news agency, in a post on his Twitter account on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said as Iran has progressed in flattening the COVID-19 curve, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif promised to supply the world with coronavirus-related devices and equipment.

“As a gesture of solidarity, Iran has sent medical items to Afghanistan, Lebanon and Germany recently,” he noted.

“Iran will keep lending a helping hand to nations in need,” the spokesman added.

On Tuesday, a consignment of 40,000 Iranian-made diagnostic test kits for the novel coronavirus disease was shipped to Germany.

The test kits have been manufactured by an Iranian knowledge-based company with 21 years of experience in producing various cancer tumor markers and testing kits for the diagnosis of infectious and endocrine diseases.
