Jurist, female professor appointed to vice presidential posts in Iran
Iran's President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi appointed a former member of the Guardian Council and a university professor to two vice-presidential posts.
According to Tasnim news agency, in a decree on Wednesday, President Raeisi appointed Mohammad Dehqan as the vice president for legal affairs.
Dehqan, 59, has a PhD in private law. He has been a member of the Parliament for four terms and used to serve as a jurist member of the Guardian Council.
In another decree, Ensieh Khazali was appointed as the new vice president for women and family affairs.
She has a PhD degree in Arabic language and literature, has served as the president of several universities, and was chosen as a top university professor.
