President congratulates Iranian wrestling squad on Asian title

Iran's President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi congratulated the country's freestyle wrestling team on winning the title of the Asian Championship in Mongolia.

According to Tasnim news agency, in a message on Sunday, President Raeisi congratulated the National Freestyle Wrestling Team (Team Melli) on winning the title in the Asian Championship.

“This victory, which was achieved by the young wrestling talents of our country, showed another manifestation of the ability, will and high capacity of our dear young people,” the president said.

“I congratulate the honorable people of Iran on this valuable achievement and sincerely thank each and every athlete, coach and other wrestling professionals,” he added.

The 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships started in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, on April 19 and finished on April 24.
