Iran beats UAE to advance to 2022 Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup final

Iran beat the UAE 5-2 on Saturday in the semifinal round of the 2022 Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup.

According to Tasnim news agency, Mehdi Shirmohammadi, Amir Hossein Akbari (two goals), Moslem Mesigar and Ali Mirshekari were on target for Iran.

Iran will play Brazil, who defeated Paraguay 6-5 in another semifinal, on Sunday.

Iran's National Team (Team Melli) has previously defeated Paraguay, the US and Japan in the tournament.

The competition is being held in Dubai, the UAE, from November 1 to 5.

Russia is the most successful team, having won four tournaments. It is also the current champion.

Iran has won the title three times.
