Iran’s Amouzad grabs silver in wrestling in 2022 Asian Games

Iranian freestyle wrestler Rahman Amouzad took a silver medal in the 2022 Asian Games on Friday.

Amouzad lost to Mongolia’s Tulga Tumur-Ochir 11-1 in the final bout of men’s freestyle 65kg.

He defeated Abbos Rakhmonov from Uzbekistan 12-6, Japan’s Kaiki Yamaguchi 2-1, China’s WEI Baowen Wei 6-0 and Indian Bajrang 8-1 on his way to the final.

With more than 12,000 competitors from 45 nations and territories, the Asian Games has more participants than the Olympics.
