Leader: Arrogant front has disguised cruelty, oppression, aggression and killing in the name of human rights, democracy and liberalism
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei considers the religious, rational and human logic of the Islamic Republic of Iran to stand against the arrogant front.
According to the Leader’s website, Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with the chairman and members of the Assembly of Experts in Tehran on Thursday.
He elaborated on the logic behind the Islamic Republic’s resistance and opposition to tyrants and the arrogant front.
The Leader said following the victory of the Islamic Revolution, a new front based on popular Islamic rule was established in Iran, which was opposite to Western democracy.
The emergence of the popular Islamic rule in Iran endangered the interests of Western liberal democracy, and for that reason they began to oppose the Islamic system, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
“The reason that (the Western democracy) felt endangered is that inside this democracy, there is arrogance, aggression and violation against the rights of nations as well as warmongering and unlimited bloodshed to gain power”, he noted, citing as an example the colonization of many countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America during the 19th century.
Due to its Islamic nature, the most important approach taken by the popular religious rule is the opposition to these kinds of tyrannies and cruelties present in the Western democracy, the Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei explained that Iran has no conflict with governments, countries and nations but it opposes oppression, arrogance and aggression which exist in Western democracy.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the recent tragic events in the Gaza Strip were a clear example of the arrogant front's oppression and aggression against the owners of a land, the destruction of their assets and brutal killing of women and children.
The Islamic Republic opposes such atrocities and crimes which are supported by the US, Britain and some European countries, despite the fact that they are condemned by common sense, Sharia and human conscience, the Leader emphasized.
“It should be made clear and obvious that the arrogant front has disguised cruelty, oppression, aggression and killing in the name of democracy, human rights and liberalism,” he said.
The Leader emphasized that Iran should always stand at the forefront of the battle against global arrogance and added that the country should strengthen its fight every day and ensure that the battle flag should remain in the hands of the Islamic Republic.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that explaining the logic behind Iran’s confrontation against the arrogant front to the new generation is important, and added: “Fortunately, for more than four-decades of the life of the Islamic Republic, we succeeded in showing the face and direction of the fight against arrogance to the world.”
