Commander: Zionist regime aimed to divide Iran
Pars Today – The commander of Iran’s Army Aviation said Sunday that the Israeli regime’s aggression during the recent 12-day war was not solely due to Iran’s nuclear or missile capabilities, but also part of a broader scheme to undermine the Islamic Republic by fomenting internal chaos and division.
Brigadier General Qassem Khamoushi, speaking during a visit to families of Army Aviation martyrs and wounded in the holy city of Mashhad, stated: “The Israeli regime’s invasion was driven by a broader goal—to destabilize Iran and break it apart.”
He emphasized that the steadfastness of Iran’s Armed Forces thwarted Israel’s objectives in both Iran and the broader region.
Khamoushi praised the people’s unity and political awareness, saying that three key factors—the Supreme Commander-in- Chief's wise leadership, the nation’s vigilance, and the defensive power and deterrence capability of Iran’s military—were crucial in the country’s success against foreign aggression.
