Pars Today – While the world people have staged demonstrations for the recent months in condemnation of Israeli savage attacks in Gaza, the opposition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, hand in hand with the Western statesmen, has thrown their support for the genocide of the Zionist regime.

The opposition is supporting Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Iranian monarch, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who was overthrown with the victory of the Islamic Revolution in February, 1979.

The backers of Reza Pahlavi, in their rallies, hoist the former Iranian flag and explicitly support the Zionist regime's premier, Benjamin Netanyahu.

In fact, since the outbreak of war in Gaza, the mostly aggressive tactics of the kingdom-seeking movement have concerned many activists supporting Palestine. And the lobbying groups, supporting Pahlavi in Washington, like National Union for Democracy in Iran (NUFDI) are in pursuit of intimidation of activists who support Palestine.

Confrontation of the supporters of Reza Pahlavi with the supporters of Palestine indicates their serious deviation from the mainstream current of Iranian thoughts which has historically been backing the Palestinian cause.

The opposition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is also supporting the aggressive US approach against Iran including intensification of sanctions against the Iranian people.

Iran's last king, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, had a very close relation with Israel. He cooperated with the Zionist regime in energy and security fields. He was also present in the US camp during the Cold War.

His son, Reza Pahlavi, along with supporters, have made many efforts during the recent years to approach Israel as they consider it an important partner.

This stance became more evident and blatant after the visit of Reza Pahlavi and his wife to the Occupied Territories in April 2023 where the Zionist regime prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his intelligence minister, Gila Gamliel accorded them a warm welcome.

The advisors of Reza Pahlavi, including Amir Hussein Etemadi and Saeed Qaseminezhad were present in the visit. The latter is an employee of the rightist think tank, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) based in Washington, DC.

These are some of the persons who are intensively hated in Iran due to their anti-Palestine and bellicose stances against the Islamic Republic system.

They have always been seeking the toughest sanctions and even military attack on Iran. They have gone to the extent to tweet "Death to Palestine".

Reza Pahlavi also met with the FDD chief, Mark Dubowitz in the Occupied Territories. The visit caused the media and groups supporting Israel to focus on him further.

Last year, kingdom-seekers chanted "woman, life, freedom" in a vain bid to destabilize the Iranian society. They have indeed no commonality with the Iranian people's ideals and aspirations. These hired grouplets always side with the interventionists and warmongering elements in Israel and America without paying attention to the humane and regional consequences of their measures.

This approach clearly proves their illegitimacy, invalidity and also shows their indifference towards the Iranian people's ideals.
