  • IRGC Commander: Zionist regime's threats to Iran's nuclear sites may prompt reconsideration of nuclear policies

Pars Today - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander for the Protection and Security of the Country's Nuclear Centers General Ahmad Haghtalab, emphasizing the complete security of the country's nuclear centers, in response to the Zionist regime's threat to attack these sites, said reviewing Iran's nuclear doctrine and policies and a departure from its previously announced considerations is probable and conceivable.

According to the IRGC’s public relations, General Haghtalab in an interview about the possible action of the Zionist regime in response to the victorious "True Promise" operation and the attack on the country's nuclear facilities, stated: “These threats are not related to today and yesterday, for years, the illegitimate Zionist regime has not only threatened but also initiated destructive and terrorist actions in the nuclear industry of the country.”

He added: Although according to international protocols and standards and the regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency, all countries are prevented from attacking nuclear facilities, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been prepared to confront these threats from the beginning.

Referring to the recent criminal act of the Zionist regime in attacking the consular section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria, which violated all international laws and regulations, General Haghtalab stated that it was not expected that the Zionist regime would make another desperate move to threaten to attack our country's nuclear centers.

He added: "By the grace of God and with the measures of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, as well as the efforts of the children of the Iranian nation in the Armed Forces, using passive defense plans and also very advanced equipment and facilities, as well as the dispersion of our country's nuclear complexes and facilities throughout the vast land of Iran, we are prepared to confront any threat from the Zionist regime.

Emphasizing that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are in full readiness, Haghtalab noted that the nuclear targets of the Zionist enemy have been identified and the necessary intelligence about all the targets is available to us. In case of any potential action, powerful missiles are ready to be launched to destroy the specified targets.

He stressed that if the Zionist regime wants to take any action against our nuclear centers and facilities, it will certainly face our reaction, and in retaliation, the nuclear centers of the attacking regime will be targeted and attacked with advanced weapons.

"If the fake Zionist regime wants to use the threat of attacking our country's nuclear centers to put pressure on Iran, reviewing the doctrine and nuclear policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and changing the past declared considerations is likely and conceivable," he added.

General Haghtalab, emphasizing that according to the statement of the Leader, the era of hit-and-run is over, said: "If the Zionist regime engages in any aggressive action against Iran, the response will be planned by the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they can be assured that the blow they receive from the Armed Forces will be remembered in history, akin to the “True Promise” operation.

He also stressed: We inform dear and honorable people of Iran that your revolutionary children in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the brave and powerful Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as other military, law enforcement, intelligence and security forces of the country, using passive defense plans and advanced protective and security equipment, protect and safeguard the country's nuclear centers and complexes, so our nuclear centers are in complete security.
