Pars Today- The Islamic Republic of Iran Army forms the main structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces. The main duty of the Army is "to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country".
Today, the Iranian Army is composed of Ground Force, Navy, Air Force and the Air Defence Force, which alongside the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Law Enforcement Command, form the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
