Pars Today- The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran had several meetings with the leaders of countries, international organizations and senior directors of American media on the first day of his trip to New York.

Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian, in his meeting with the senior directors of more than 40 American media on Monday, criticized the false picturing of some Western media from Iran and said, "Our country and nation possesses an ancient and rich civilization and culture." During the meeting, Pezeshkian, made it clear that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never pursued war and insecurity in the world and has come to the UN General Assembly, too, to convey its message of peace and friendship to all countries and nations.

Iran's support for global peace and security

The Iranian president, in his meeting with the Elder (group of influential elders) including the former heads of states and international organizations, also stressed that Iran would back any measure strengthening peace and security in West Asia and the world, and said, "The serious problem of the world of today is that a number of countries, in the name of democracy and freedom, have blocked the way of development for other countries and direct independent and free countries in the course of confrontation."

Iran's approach to expand interaction with all countries

Pezeshkian, also, met and conferred with the Swiss President, Viola Amherd, on Monday.

During this meeting, Iran's president, clarifying his administration's approach in domestic and foreign policy on the basis of national consensus and interaction with all countries according to mutual respect, said, "As for the foreign policy, the Iranian government is seeking stability, security and calm in the region, but the Zionist regime tries for warmongering and creation of insecurity."

Emphasis on need for constructive interaction

Masoud Pezeshkian, in his meeting with the Finnish President, Alexander Stubb, described the Islamic Republic of Iran's approach as détente, constructive interaction with all countries and creation of peace, stability and security, and stated, "We underscore the need for interaction and dialogue instead of war and clash among the world countries to reach a common view and also multilateralism to resolve problems."

Demonstrating Islamic world's grandeur

The Iranian president, in his meeting with his Turkish counterpart, stressing that formation of a great common market in the region and academic, scientific and economic exchanges can demonstrate the grandeur of the Islamic world to the world, made it clear that a better future for the Islamic countries depends on successful effort to create unity and, with the help of such a unity, we will never witness the crimes like what is happening in Gaza."

Dialogue and mutual understanding only way to reach common language and view

In his meeting with the chairman of the European Council, Pezeshkian said, "We are after a common language and view for cooperation with other countries in various fields for mutual progress, and dialogue and mutual understanding is the only way to reach this view and language."

Israel cause of insecurity in region

Masoud Pezeshkian, in his meeting with the UN Secretary General, expressed concern over expansion of clashes in West Asia and reiterated that while Iran has been patient towards the crime of assassination of martyr Haniyeh to prevent escalation of tensions, Zionists, after martyring more than 41 thousand [innocent] people in Gaza, have attacked Lebanon and martyred many [over there]."
