Tehran ready to make joint satellites with neighbors; Iran's space activities "Peaceful and Economic"
Pars Today- Head of Iran's Space Research Center said that the space activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are peaceful and economic.
Vahid Yazdanian, Head of Iran's Space Research Center, noting on Monday that the country's space activities are mainly routine and applied, made it clear, "Iran's space activities are peaceful and economic." According to Pars Today, Yazdanian added, "All space products of Iran are made with the efforts of the native researchers."
He said about the usage of artificial intelligence in space industries, "Sensing, navigation and communication satellites produce dataset which is the first level of artificial intelligence and Iran plays an active role in this field."
%90 satellite equipment produced domestically
Yazdanian went on to say, "More than %90 of the satellite equipment and satellite subsystems are produced inside the country and the remaining %10 is provided from abroad. This import does not mean lacking the technical knowhow. The knowhow exists in the country, but we use and import it as supporter."
Expansion of space diplomacy
This scientific official, stressing that Iran stands head and shoulders above the neighboring countries in the field of space, stated, "With expansion of space diplomacy, we are ready to transfer the technology and knowhow to the neighboring countries. I mean we are ready to provide services in the field of satellite manufacturing to show that Iran's space activities are for peace and upgrading welfare and economic development in the regional countries."
Cheap cost of using Iranian satellites services
Head of Iran's Space Research Center, emphasizing that the cost of enjoying the services of the satellites of this center is very low, made it clear, "The price of the images of Khayyam satellite is $2 for every km², while this is $10 for the images of foreign satellites."
