How did Iran expose American lie of being "Unnegotiable"?
Pars Today- The indirect Iran-America negotiations in Muscat and Rome proved the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to change imposed concepts and shatter the thought of being unnegotiable.
The second round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States was held on April 19 in Rome. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, who led the Iranian delegation, informed of progress in principles and goals and a possible agreement. He stressed that, for many in Iran, the JCPOA is not enough any longer and what remains are just its admonitions.
Esmail Baqaei Hamaneh, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, too, emphasized Tehran's main demand, namely, the removal of all sanctions with tangible economic results. The Iran-America negotiations, which have advanced in a relatively positive climate, are supposed to continue on Wednesday, April 23 in Oman.
Change of concepts and Iran's diplomatic victory
Farshid Baqerian, specializing in international issues, believes that Iran, with active presence in these talks, has annulled the American narrative based on Tehran's being unnegotiable. He maintains that this is a great achievement for Iran as it has shown that, in spite of the claims of US media, Tehran is ready for constructive dialogue.
Baqerian stressed that holding the talks in a third country, like Italy, emphasizes their indirect nature and the rumor about direct talks is baseless. These talks have begun from the level of senior officials and will continue at the expertise level to be registered in Iran's diplomatic history.
This expert also maintains that although challenges may arise in the expertise level, both parties are determined to continue talks till yielding fruit. The remarks of the officials about the positive climate and constructive tone of the negotiations have left no room for negative connotations and indicate that both parties are looking for a solution.
Prospect of talks and challenges ahead
Baqerian pointed to the role of the regional trans-regional opponents of the talks who may try to disturb the process. Yet, he optimistically believes that the talks will not lead to clashes or war.
The contradictory remarks of the Zionist regime officials, who are dumfounded with the outcome of the negotiations, indicate that these talks have positive impact on the regional equations.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has not only thwarted negative narratives about itself, but also proved that, despite claims, it is the US which has prolonged the talks. The continuation of this trend may lead to removal of sanctions, boost economic activities in the country and create calm in the region, provided that the challenges in the expertise level will be resolved by top officials.
