$200 million in exports from Iran's Aras Free Zone
Hadi Moghaddamzadeh, head of the Aras Free Zone in northwest Iran, stated that the region achieved $200 million in exports last year (2024). He noted that exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $11 million.
Speaking at the sidelines of Iran Expo 2025 in Tehran, Moghaddamzadeh added that the Aras Free Zone has unique potential in tourism and ranked first among free zones in Iran in 2025 based on key criteria set by the secretariat of Free Trade-Industrial Zones and Special Economic Zones.
Export of halal food products from Iran to 110 countries
Kiyumrs Yeghmaei, Director of Market Research at Iran's Quality Inspection and Standards Organization, stated that halal food products are one of Iran's competitive advantages for exports.
Countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Persian Gulf nations, and North African countries show high demand for these products. Yeghmaei also mentioned that Iranian food products are exported to regional countries such as Iraq, Turkey, the UAE, Afghanistan, Russia, and several European nations.
$8.5 million in exports from Iran's Jolfa customs
Ali Bisalam, head of Jolfa Customs in Iran, announced that $8.5 million worth of goods were exported through this customs office to nine countries in the past month.
He noted that 14,598 tons of goods were exported during this period, primarily consisting of petroleum derivatives, building facade stones, tiles and ceramics, wood, and plastic products. The main destinations for these exports include Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, Russia, Georgia, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.
Iran’s oil industry defies sanctions; Record-breaking exports to China
Data from the ship-tracking company Vortexa shows that Iran's oil exports to China reached a historic high of over 1.8 million barrels per day in March 2025, marking the highest figure ever recorded.
This increase comes amid concerns about further U.S. sanctions against Tehran. Meanwhile, data from the analysis firm Kpler indicates that Iran's oil exports to China in March averaged 1.71 million barrels per day, a 20% increase compared to February. According to Kpler, Iranian oil accounted for 16% of China’s seaborne crude imports in March.
Export of 159,000 tons of eggs from Iran; Iran ranks 9th in global egg production
Hamidreza Kashani, President of Iran’s National Union of Egg Producers, announced that 159,000 tons of eggs worth over $150 million were exported to 11 countries in 2024.
These products were shipped to Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Persian Gulf states, and three African countries, marking a 15% increase compared to 2023. Iran is currently the 9th largest egg producer in the world.
