Baghaei: Iran welcomes ceasefire announcement between India & Pakistan

Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of both countries seizing this opportunity to ensure de-escalation and lasting calm in the region.

Esmaeil Baghaei, referring to the prudence of the leaders of Pakistan and India in halting hostilities, described the move as responsible and wise, expressing hope that relations between the two countries will return to normal as soon as possible. Amid escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan, on Saturday (May 10, 2025) the foreign ministers of both nations announced that they have reached an agreement on the immediate implementation of a “full ceasefire and cessation of military actions.”/ IRNA
