  • Sunni Friday prayer leader of Mirjaveh in Iran: Love of Imam Ali essence of our faith

Pars Today- Friday payer leader of Sunni Muslims of Mirjaveh city, southeast of Iran, said, "Ghadir Khom event has been mentioned in the valid books of Sunnis. The love of Imam Ali (Peace upon him) is the essence of our faith."

According to Pars Today, Sunni Muslims believe that the event of Ghadir Khom has surely taken place and the Prophet of Islam, in that event, spoke of Imam Ali's courage, love, faith, Godwariness and justice to be registered for ever in history till the Day of Judgment.

Mowlavi Abdul Rahim Rigianpur, Friday prayer leader of Sunni Muslims of Mirjaveh city in the southeast of Iran added, "The enemy, with the stratagem of forging borders of love, intends to create artificial borders for love of Imam Ali among Shia and Sunni Muslims. Jews are scared of Islam's becoming powerful. That's why, they focus on the points which have the potential of creating difference. Zionists and enemies of Islam are hell-bent on creating difference through the very miscomprehensions in a bid to find a path for exploitation."

Hojjat-ol-Islam Javad Haeri, Head of the Islamic Propagation Office of Zahedan Governorate, said in this regard, "The great Eid of Ghadir Khom is a glorious manifestation of unity and empathy in Sistan-Baluchestan province. On this day, Shia and Sunni Muslims attend the several-kilometer feast of Ghadir with their families alongside each other. This presence is a clear sign of security and deep popular bonds in this region."

Javad Haeri added, "The several-kilometer banquet of Ghadir is a divine opportunity and blessing for the Iranian nation in order to prove their Islamic solidarity; as God has said, 'Cling fast to the Allah's cord and do not be disunited.' Our people should cling to the divine cord and stick to the Ahl al-Bayt (Blessings of God upon them) to complete their religion and perceive God's blessing."
