Iran emerged victorious in the fighter jet and missile battle; the untold story of the 12-day war with Israel
Pars Today – An Italian author, in a detailed analysis of the 12-day war waged by the Israeli regime against Iran, stated: Contrary to Western media claims, Iran strategically dominated in the battle of missiles and fighter jets, bringing Israel to the brink of defeat, and only direct U.S. intervention prevented the fall of Tel Aviv.
Alessandro Orsini, an Italian writer and winner of the prestigious Bancarella award, in his book titled "Examining the Iran-Israel War," presented a narrative different from mainstream media portrayals. He wrote that the 12-day Israeli war against Iran was a "war of missiles and fighter jets," and despite pressures and threats, Iran held a significant strategic advantage. Initially, Italian media excitedly claimed Israel was far more powerful, but the reality was completely the opposite.
According to a report by Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the Italian author's analysis indicates that Israel, despite its advanced air defense systems like the Iron Dome and David’s Sling, and U.S. support, faced intense pressure. Reports suggested a depletion of Israel’s missile reserves and rising domestic damage. Iran, which initially attacked with older missiles, intensified its strikes after observing Israel’s weaknesses.
Orsini added that direct U.S. intervention starting on June 22, with the deployment of aircraft carriers to the region, was a sign of Israel’s imminent defeat. Iran, with its 90-million population and vast resources, stood firm without retreating from its nuclear and missile programs, solidifying its stance.
While negotiations between Iran and the U.S. were ongoing, the Zionist regime launched military attacks in the early hours of Friday, June 13, under the pretext that Iran’s nuclear program was a threat, leading to a 12-day conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
In response to the Zionist regime’s request, the U.S. also attacked Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities which are under IAEA supervision on June 22. Iran retaliated by targeting the U.S. military base in Qatar, known as "Al-Udeid".
