Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran\'s Supreme National Security Council
Pars Today - Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, described the performance of the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency as disgraceful and destructive, stating: "This agency no longer holds any benefit for Iran."
Ali Larijani, Advisor to the Leader and Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, in a detailed interview with KHAMENEI.IR media, referencing the directive of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution that "the flag of negotiation should always be in your hand," described diplomacy as an inseparable part of the government's work and emphasized: "Iran will never abandon diplomacy, but negotiation only bears fruit when the opposite side has reached the conclusion that the steadfast and resistant nation of Iran cannot be subdued through war." According to Pars Today, Larijani stressed that the diplomacy they (the West) pursue is a diplomacy of excuse-making; however, at the same time, we should not say that we are cutting off diplomacy. The enemy seeks to use diplomacy for making excuses.
**Iran's Firm Support for the Resistance Front**
The Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in continuation of this interview, rejecting claims about the weakening of the Resistance Front, said: "If it has been weakened, why do they insist and pressure so much on it? Usually, pressure is applied where it is strong." Larijani noted that resistance is a direct product of the enemies' own behavior, and the more pressure increases, the deeper the resistance will become. He added: "The Islamic Republic has always supported resistance because it considers it an authentic movement and an asset."
**Severe Criticism of the International Atomic Energy Agency**
Larijani continued by severely criticizing the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, describing his performance as destructive, disgraceful, and under the complete domination of the West. He said: "Since the time of ElBaradei, the agency has never been in such a destructive state as it is today." Referring to the bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities and the agency's silence, Larijani emphasized: "For countries, this question has arisen: what benefit does the agency have? It truly has had no benefit for us."
**Iran Will Not Surrender**
The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, emphasizing that Iran will never surrender to pressures, stated that although withdrawing from the NPT has always been a possible option, this decision must be made with wisdom and to gain benefit. He considered the main solution to be "power" and said: "If you have power, your work will progress; therefore, Iran must pursue power, and the translation of this statement in nuclear policy is to never remove negotiation from the agenda, but also not to surrender in negotiations."
**Assessment of the Trigger Mechanism and European Behavior**
Regarding the trigger mechanism, Larijani described the Europeans' behavior as part of America's operation and considered it contrary to international norms. He said the immediate use of this mechanism without following its legal procedure indicates the political and pressure-motivated incentives of the West, which ignore the logical path of peaceful resolution.
