Shining Iranian females win 868 international medals in just one year

Pars Today – Referring to the remarkable achievements of women’s sports, Iran’s Minister of Sports and Youth announced that over the past year, more than 307 international trips were made for female athletes. Iranian sportswomen succeeded in winning 868 medals at prestigious global events, including 140 gold medals.

At a public session of the Iranian Parliament, Ahmad Donyamali, the Minister of Sports and Youth, presented a report on the ministry’s performance. Highlighting the remarkable achievements of women’s sports, he described these successes as a testament to the dedication and determination of Iranian women and extended his congratulations to the country’s female community.

Donyamali also announced the registration of 11,500 sports facilities in the SADAK system and added that, in line with the implementation of Article 44 of the Constitution, a major portion of the shares of Persepolis and Esteghlal clubs has been transferred, with necessary measures underway to monetize sports assets.

In the field of sports diplomacy, Iran has secured 1,360 international seats, and nearly 1,900 Iranian referees have participated in global events. Additionally, about 220 Iranian athletes are active in club teams abroad.

The Minister of Sports and Youth also highlighted cultural initiatives, noting the compilation and publication of analytical works on the ideas of Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul) and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the areas of youth and sports. He further announced the design of the Fair Play Channel, which is awaiting final approval by the Football Federation Assembly.
