Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry described the claims made in the final communiqué of the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting in Canada regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran as baseless, irresponsible, and unacceptable.

According to Pars Today, Esmaeil Baqaei said that the repeated, irresponsible stance of the G7 member states — in endorsing the illegal and unjustified move by the three European countries and the United States to misuse the JCPOA dispute-resolution mechanism in order to reinstate the annulled UN Security Council resolutions against Iran — amounts to their support for an internationally wrongful act. He stressed that this G7 position in no way legitimizes or sanitizes the illegal and unjustified action taken by the three European countries and the United States.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, recalling the illegal military aggression by the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran and the attack on the Islamic Republic’s peaceful nuclear facilities, described the G7’s request for Tehran to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency as deceitful and interventionist. He stressed that the United States — due to its illegal and unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA and its attack on Iran — is fundamentally responsible for the current situation, and that the three European countries, by following the U.S. lead and failing to fulfill their obligations, not only committed a gross violation of their JCPOA commitments but also, with clear bad faith, dismissed all of Iran’s initiatives and efforts to advance diplomacy.

Baqaei also described the G7’s position on the issue of Palestine as irresponsible and contrary to their international obligations to respect the right of nations to self-determination and to prevent genocide.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson went on to reject the G7’s repetitive and irresponsible allegation against Iran regarding the Ukraine conflict, reiterating the Islamic Republic’s principled stance: opposition to war and the need to end the conflict through dialogue and diplomatic negotiations between the relevant parties. He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
