Pars Today – Iran’s government spokesperson stressed that if the country comes under renewed attacks, it will certainly respond more forcefully than before, adding that Iran’s defense forces are fully prepared and that “we negotiate with our hand on the trigger.”
According to Pars Today, Iran’s government spokesperson, Fatemeh Mohajerani, said on Tuesday, referring to the approaching end of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States and the progress of the Islamabad negotiations: according to the explicit text of the law, decisions on war and peace fall under the authority of the Commander‑in‑Chief, and naturally all of us are executors of the law.
Mohajerani added: In the area of decision‑making and support, we have two strategies ahead of us—one is the strategy of war and the other is the strategy of diplomacy. Both of these strategies serve our main objective, which is “preserving national integrity and national dignity.”
She further stated that Iran believes its negotiating team is a complete and capable one, noting that the head of the Iranian negotiating team has also been a field commander and is fully aware of the situation. She emphasized that the team possesses extensive experience, and therefore the Iranian people should know that Iran’s negotiating team will not concede even the slightest bit when it comes to national interests.
