Pars Today – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs said that the NATO secretary general’s remarks about the use of Italian and Romanian bases by the United States in an attack on Iran create international responsibility for these countries.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Kazem Gharibabadi wrote on his X account on Thursday, responding to the NATO secretary general’s acknowledgment in an interview with Fox News of NATO’s role in supporting the U.S.-Israeli military aggression against Iran, as well as his naming of Italy and Romania as two countries that provided significant assistance for U.S. military operations against Iran:

"The NATO secretary general’s remarks regarding the use of bases in Italy and Romania by the United States in the attack on Iran create international responsibility for these countries."

He added: "According to UN General Assembly Resolution 3314, providing a state’s territory for use by a third state to carry out aggression against another country constitutes an act of aggression."
