Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman strongly condemned a U.S. attack near a children’s cancer treatment center in Ahvaz, southwestern Iran, which led to the evacuation of the hospital.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman posted images of the evacuation of Shahid Baghaei Hospital in Ahvaz on social media and wrote:
“Shahid Baghaei Hospital, a children’s cancer treatment center in Ahvaz, was evacuated last night after a U.S. attack on a location near the hospital.”
Esmaeil Baghaei stated that the brutal attack, which was reminiscent of Israeli attacks on medical facilities, caused severe distress and anxiety among hospitalized children and forced the emergency evacuation of 211 patients undergoing chemotherapy.
“This action is a cowardly crime and constitutes a war crime against the most innocent human beings — children who are courageously fighting to save their lives. Those who constantly speak about human rights but knowingly ignore the targeting of hospitals and medical centers have lost all moral credibility,” he said.
