Pars Today – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi described Egypt as an important friend and partner of the Islamic Republic of Iran and warned about Israeli "false flag" operations aimed at undermining regional stability.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Araghchi wrote on X on Thursday night:

"Egypt is an important friend and partner in the region, and its security is of utmost importance to us."

He added: "We must all be vigilant against Israeli plots and false flag operations designed to undermine regional peace. The threat is clear, mutual, and fearful of Muslim solidarity."

Meanwhile, Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, addressed the reported drone attack on two ships at Egypt's Port of Damietta. Rejecting speculation by some Western media outlets about possible Iranian involvement, he said:

"Iran's principled policy of respecting Egypt's national sovereignty and territorial integrity is clear to everyone, and the Islamic Republic of Iran categorically rejects any involvement in these incidents."

Baghaei described the attacks in Egypt as suspicious and called on regional countries to remain especially vigilant against enemy plots, particularly through the planning and execution of "false flag" operations intended to further complicate the regional situation and sow mistrust and division among countries.
