Pars Today – Iran’s Parliament Speaker said that the U.S. plan to impose crushing economic pressure on Iran will come back to hit the United States itself like a boomerang.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, shared an image on his social media account outlining the consequences of economic pressure on Iran and energy markets for the U.S. economy. Referring to recent measures by U.S. President Donald Trump to control prices in the United States, he wrote in English:
“Importing frozen meat to fix meat prices. Okay, that might work. What’s the plan for bonds, import frozen yields? Frozen homebuyers for housing? Frozen paychecks for wages? A frozen foreign policy delivers a frozen economy.”
He added: “The only thing still moving? The Iran boomerang.”
