Baghaei: Engagement with US side took place through Qatari mediator

Pars Today- Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, commenting on reports of Iran-US negotiations in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, said: “The engagement with the US side took place through a Qatari mediator.”

According to Pars Today, Esmaeil Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, told IRIB in New York, referring to the meeting between the Iranian delegation and the US side: “The Iranian delegation conveyed its conditions to the US side very explicitly and clearly through mediators.”

Baghaei added: “This engagement was aimed at conveying Iran’s conditions, including an end to the war on all fronts, a halt to US acts of aggression, the lifting of the naval blockade and economic war, and the release of Iran’s assets.”
