Baghaei marks commemoration day of Shahriar, Persian Poetry and Literature Day

Pars Today – The spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry has published a message on X marking the commemoration day of renowned Iranian poet Master Shahriar and Persian Poetry and Literature Day.

According to Pars Today, citing ISNA, Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, wrote on the social media platform X: “The Persian language and literature are a treasure placed in the vault of human culture and a bridge that has brought distant souls closer together for centuries and forged bonds among nations.

September 18, the commemoration day of Master Shahriar and Persian Poetry and Literature Day, is an opportunity to pause and reflect on this precious heritage. Master Shahriar found the Persian language to be his home and turned poetry into a mirror through which to see what remains hidden from our eyes amid the tumult of time.

Yet his contribution was not limited to serving Persian language and literature; it also served as a reminder to honor the original sanctuary and homeland of this language.”
