Maj. Gen. Safavi: Iran will shape region’s security arrangements and future

Pars Today- The Leader’s senior military aide and adviser said the United States has no role in the region’s security arrangements, adding that Iran will shape the region’s security architecture and future.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Major General Seyyed Yahya Safavi, the Leader’s senior military aide and adviser, pointed to the geopolitical importance of energy and the Strait of Hormuz and their role in the outcome of the recent regional war. He added that Iran is the most important country in West Asia and holds a highly significant geopolitical position in the region and the world.

Referring to the crimes committed by the unwise US president in Iran, Major General Safavi said the foolish US president must understand that Iran is invincible and has a civilization spanning thousands of years as well as a courageous nation.

He further stressed the importance of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait in global geography, adding that Ansarullah’s control of the strait would constitute another step toward the United States’ greater defeat in the region, and that the trend of these strategic US defeats would continue.

Major General Safavi, stressing that smart management of the Strait of Hormuz is a victory-generating lever for breaking the US maritime blockade, continued: Iran has the world’s largest energy reserves, and a major share of the world’s oil and gas passes through West Asia and the Strait of Hormuz, making this a highly important lever for controlling global oil and gas.

Referring to energy management in the Strait of Hormuz and the difficulties faced by some regional countries, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in their energy production, he said that today, ultimately, only between five and eight ships are passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and all countries along the Persian Gulf are facing difficulties with production and exports.

Major General Safavi continued: The main lever for Iran’s victory in the recent imposed war was using the superior geopolitical position of the Strait of Hormuz to control the energy lifeline and drive up diesel and gasoline prices around the world.

Expressing hope that a lasting peace can be established with the participation of regional countries without the presence of the Americans, he referred to US crimes and acts of aggression in West Asia and said: The Americans are on their way out and cannot remain in the region. They spent hundreds of billions of dollars, but failed in their spending, and the United States has no role in the region’s security arrangements. Iran will shape the region’s security arrangements and future security.
