First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri says Iran's oil industry's performance in the aftermath of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was "something great".

"Oil industrialists have done something great after the JCPOA implementation and could make more than double the country's crude oil output," the official said lauding the industry's outcome in the post-JCPOA setting.

The Iranian first vice president further said that Iran has registered a positive economic growth in the first 6 month of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

"Those who hindered Iran's oil exports by their performance never thought the country would recover the oil production capacity immediately after the sanctions' removal," Jahangiri said.

He added that Iran's economic growth has been 4.3% in the H1 (first half of financial or calendar year) without considering oil sales.
