Iran, Singapore opt for boosting banking relations

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Singaporean Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman have underlined the need for broadening of economic relations, specially banking ties.
During the meeting in the Iranian capital Tehran on Saturday, Zarif and Maliki bin Osman explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating mutual cooperation in economic, trade and banking fields.
The two sides also discussed regional and international issues, including Syria and fighting with terrorism and extremism.
In relevant remarks earlier on Tuesday, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi underlined readiness of Iran's private sector for cooperation with Singaporean firms.
