Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan conferred on ways to further develop defense relations and cooperation in separate meetings with his Serbian and Venezuelan counterparts.

General Dehqan who is on a visit to Russia to participate in the Sixth Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS) held in the Russian capital on April 26-27, met with Serbian Defense Minister Zoran Dordevic and discussed the latest regional and international developments.

They also studied ways to expand defense-military cooperation between the two countries, and underlined the necessity for its development and deepening.

Meantime, General Dehqan held a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Vladimir Padrino Lopez during which the two sides discussed the agreements signed between the two countries as well as the ways to further reinvigorate mutual defense cooperation.

The Iranian defense minister has been invited by his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu to attend the MCIS.

The Iranian defense minister, heading a high-ranking defense and military delegation, has held meetings with his counterparts from different countries.

Several high-ranking defense delegations from different world countries attended the international security conference in Moscow.
