Iranian and Azeri officials underlined the need for expanding mutual cooperation, specially in the field of media.

In a meeting in the Azeri capital, Baku, on Tuesday, Iranian Deputy Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister, Hossein Entezami, and Head of Azerbaijan's Azertac News Agency, Aslan Aslanov, explored venues for bolstering and reinvigorating media relations.

Entezami pointed to cultural and religious commonalities between Iran and Azerbaijan, and said broadening of media ties between Iran and Azerbaijan can have a positive influence on relations between the two nations and lead to the expansion of ties in various sectors.

Aslanov, for his part, confirmed Entezami’s remarks about the influence of media cooperation on expanding the two countries’ ties in various sectors and affirmed that Azertac is seeking deepening of ties with well-known media across the world.
