Iran has reached self-sufficiency in the field of infertility treatment and, with regards to the measures taken, there is no difference between Iran and the noted centers in the world. Many non-Muslim couples, due to Royan Research Center's adherence to the issues of "medical ethics", refer to it. Self-sufficiency, Iran's achievement of sanctions

Although sanctions, at times, had been a threat to Royan Institute, this research center has turned them into opportunity.

Dr. Vosooqi continues, "We had faced with problem to maintain consumption materials, culture environments, and devices applied in the treatment of infertility, but we managed to provide the equipment needed. Researchers of this center, through continuous labour, succeeded to reach standards in the field of equipment. Now, we have produced some of the equipment of infertility treatment, like embryo catheter transfer set, freeze cryotube and puncture needle and we use them. In spite of pharmaceutical sanctions, we have been able to cure infertility with the accessible medicines and compete with other treatment centers in the world."

The big step of "Royan" in application of stem cells to treat infertility

Making applicable the stem cells know-how in treatment of diseases is a new issue which Royan Research Center has paid much attention to. Royan Research Center has taken big steps with regards to the relation of stem cells and "regenerative medicine" with treatment of infertility, and has taken measures in the field of clinical studies.
