The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran calls on freedom seekers, rights advocates worldwide to participate in World Quds Day rallies.

Pars Today - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the eve of the World Quds Day (April 5, 2024), has called on all governments and Muslim nations, freedom-seekers, and rights advocates worldwide to unite in solidarity to confront the cancerous tumor of Israel- which disrupts regional and international stability and security- and to provide real and practical support for the oppressed Palestinian people.

The statement reads:

"On the anniversary of the historic initiative by the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the late Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini (God’s mercy upon him), to designate the last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadhan as "World Quds Day," the ideal of Palestine and the liberation of al-Quds have become symbols of human unity from all races, religions, and beliefs worldwide in defense of humanity and freedom, the realization of justice, and opposition to occupation, oppression, murder, and crimes against the oppressed and besieged people of Palestine by the Zionist regime."

The last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadhan has been named Quds Day by the initiative of Imam Khomeini (God’s mercy upon him), the great Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, so that Muslims worldwide can express their disgust and hatred at the hostile actions and racist policies of the Zionist regime.

The situation in Palestine and its civilized and oppressed people today, on the eve of the 200th day since the beginning of the recent six-month atrocities by the Zionists against Gaza, has turned into a great tragedy. The Zionist regime of Israel continues its horrific crimes; the massacre of nearly forty thousand innocent infants, children, women, and men at the hands of an occupying, racist, and terrorist regime, pursuing a policy of scorched earth and complete destruction in Gaza by demolishing residential homes, infrastructure, hospitals, schools, mosques, and churches, deliberately starving people to the brink of death.

The intensification of desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque as the first qibla of Muslims worldwide, beating and massacring of worshippers and supplicants in its sacred courtyard during the blessed days of Ramadhan, and reports of horrific and shameful crimes by the Zionists against Palestinian women and captives, have turned not only Gaza but the entire land of Palestine into an open-air prison for millions of Palestinian citizens without shelter, into a human slaughterhouse and graveyard of human conscience.

The statement, referring to the behavior of the West and the US, reads: "Undoubtedly, the shame of these great crimes will forever remain with the supporters of this regime, at the forefront of which are the United States of America and other Western governments who not only did not prevent these great oppression, but from the very beginning, with visits to the Occupied Palestinian Territories and sending various types of military aid and comprehensive support to this regime, have always supported it. It will never be erased from human memory and history.

Today, the power of patience and resistance of the brave Palestinian people and the combatant and courageous forces of the Resistance Front in the region, have shattered the arrogance and invincibility myth of the occupying regime by overthrowing this regime and its main supporter, criminal US, into a quagmire of deep and global hatred by world nations and achieving victory over the occupying regime is definite, certain, and in line with divine promise. The political and propaganda apparatuses of global imperialism and Zionism are no longer able to prevent this decisive defeat by attributing this resistance that has arisen from the awakened consciences and freedom-loving spirits of vigilant peoples in the region to Iran.
