  • The Arrogant people originated in Satan's arrogance / arrogance and gaining illicit gains two features of killers of Imam Hossein

Pars Today - Hojjat-ol-Islam Hossein Ansarian, explaining that obstinacy and arrogance have their roots in human's materialism and this, in turn, stems from excessive love of the world, said, "Those who are arrogant are originated in the arrogance of Satan."

This seminary teacher delivered a speech at Hosseinieh Hedayat. According to Pars Today, quoting from Mehr news agency, he said, "A group of people, both in the time of the prophets and the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace upon them), and even till now, due to intense arrogance, haven't liked the truth even though they have seen the miracles of the divine messengers and the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace upon them)."

He added, "The holy Qur'an says that they used to mock at the miracles and called the words of the prophets and Friends of God (Saints) as myth, while they had no rational or logical reason for their words. They would insist on arrogance and obstinacy. For instance, on the day of Ashura, when Lady Zeinab (Peace upon her) told [Imam Hossein], 'Introduce yourself to this people perhaps they will be awakened and their eyes are open', the Imam said, 'O sister! I went to them and introduced myself through my grandfather and mother, but they answered me only with stoning.'" According to this religious expert, this was due to obstinacy and arrogance.

Sheikh Ansarian, saying that obstinacy and arrogance have their roots in man's materialism and this is the result of excessive love of the world, added, "Those who are arrogant are originated in the arrogance of Satan. The Lord of the universe owns all perfections and He is the Creator of the universe and the Creator of all creatures, and Satan knew all this, but he didn't accept the Lord's command [to prostrate before Adam] out of arrogance rather than ignorance. Satan knew well the Day of Resurrection, too."

This seminary teacher said that the arrogant people in the world are the students of Satan's school and continued, "The punishment of the arrogant will be like that of Satan. God will take all of them with Satan to the hell and will fill the hell with them. The mourners of the Ahl al-Bayt (Infallible progeny) of the Prophet and Imam Hossein should be happy that they are not the students of Satan's school. The one who is the student of this school, does not shed tears for the innocence of Imam Hossein and the Ahl al-Bayt and abandons the duties which God has specified for him."

Calling the arrogant as the enemies of religion and truth, Ansarian added, "They never give up arrogance. The noble Qur'an and the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (Peace upon them) are the two balances with which one can become successful. Thus, human being should act according to the practice and instruction of these two balances in all affairs of life."

Sheikh Hossein Ansarian, pointing to verse 97 of chapter Nahl of the Qur'an continued, "This verse reads that it makes no difference if a righteous deed is done by a man or a woman, but there is one difference; and that difference is to believe in monotheism, prophethood, Imamate and the Day of Resurrection. The Lord says, 'I am in the heart of the grieved.' So, God is in the hearts of the mourners of Imam Hossein (Peace upon him). Pure life is the reward of him who has belief and does righteous deed."

This seminary teacher went on to say, "Gaining halal sustenance has been mentioned beside worship of God. What was the reason that 30,000 people participated in the war against Imam Hossein, the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, and the Ahl al-Bayt that has been mentioned in the Qur'an? The reason for their killing of the Imam was their eating haram (religiously forbidden food or sustenance). Their hearts were closed towards realities and the light of the Qur'an, Imamate and truth had no way to their hearts."

He reiterated, "If people like pure worship, they should first make halal what they eat and their sustenance. Haram (religiously forbidden) property will not rescue man even if he worships. Enjoying pure life is feasible through eating halal. Satan always invites man to do evil acts and slander God."
