US dispatches fresh reinforcement to base in Syria’s Hasakah
The United States has transported logistics supplies, munitions, and soldiers to its base in Syria’s oil-rich Province of Hasakah.
Local sources told Syria’s official news agency SANA on Saturday that two American helicopters had landed in the al-Shaddadi base in the al-Jazeera region.
The report said the choppers, which also brought in a number of soldiers, landed at the al-Karama School, which was held by the US occupation forces several days ago.
It also said US forces, which run the al-Bulgar Prison in the region, every so often bring in militants to training camps and, after giving them the required training, deploy them to various battlefields, like those in Dayr al-Zawr.
The US military has stationed forces and equipment in northeastern Syria without any authorization from Damascus or the UN, with the Pentagon claiming that the deployment is aimed at preventing the oilfields in the area from falling into the hands of the Daesh Takfiri terrorists.
Washington has long been training terrorists in Syria.
Damascus has repeatedly called for an end to the US plundering of the country’s oil under the guise of combating terrorists.
