Medical authorities in the Gaza Strip say at least 140 Palestinians have lost their lives and many more sustained injuries when Israeli military aircraft carried out a round of airstrikes overnight and in the morning across the fully blockaded coastal enclave.

The officials stated that the new Israeli airstrikes targeted the Al-Shati Refugee Camp in the northern Gaza Strip, as well as the southern cities of Rafah and Khan Younis among others.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli warplanes destroyed a residential building belonging to the al-Aidi family in Rafah, massacring 48 individuals and injuring dozens more.

Another house was also reduced to rubble in the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, leaving several civilians martyred and injured.

Israeli warplanes bombed an inhabited house in Beit Lahia, martyring and wounding several people. The injured victims were transferred to the Indonesian Hospital in the city to receive medical treatment.

Moreover, a number of civilians were martyred and injured when Israeli aircraft pounded the al-Faluja area, located 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) northeast of Gaza City.

Israeli jets also hit a house in the city of Khan Younis, causing several casualties who were taken to Nasser Hospital in the city.

The aircraft bombed another house in the same city as well, martyring and wounding several people.

An Israeli raid also targeted a house in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, martyring and wounding a number of people, including women and children.

This comes as hospitals in Gaza are still being bombed by Israel, and the healthcare system is at risk of collapse if no medical equipment and supplies are provided.

According to WAFA news agency, the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia has been partially without electricity since last night as a result of the exhaustion of fuel needed to operate its electric generators.

Doctors in the hospital warned of disastrous consequences in case the generators stop working completely, as hundreds of injured people are receiving treatment there and some are connected to ventilators in order to survive.

France’s Macron in Tel Aviv on solidarity visit

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Tel Aviv on Tuesday to express his country’s “full solidarity” with Israel in the wake of the regime’s atrocious military campaign against the Gaza Strip.

“We (France) stand shoulder to shoulder with you (Israel),” he said upon arrival in the 1948 Israeli-Occupied Territories.

Macron was due to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They were due to hold a joint press conference at 01:00 pm local time (10:00 GMT), the French presidency said.

The French head of state was also due to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog, as well as opposition leaders Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid in the occupied al-Quds.

There will also probably be exchanges with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and leaders of Persian Gulf Arab nations, the Elysee Palace said.

Palestinian journalist martyred in Israeli airstrike on Gaza City

Furthermore, local sources said Palestinian journalist, Mohammed Imad Labad, was martyred last night in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a site close to his house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City.

The assassination of Labad brings up the number of journalists martyred since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Strip to 20, the sources noted.
