Pars Today - In a meeting with the organizing members of the Congress of Holy Shrine Defenders and the Resistance Front Martyrs, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, described the Holy Shrine Defenders as a remarkable and important phenomenon, and one of the manifestations of the Islamic Republic's worldview.

The Leader emphasized that the presence of young people from different nationalities among the Holy Shrine Defenders shows that the Islamic Revolution still has the power to recreate the same enthusiasm and epic spirit of the early days of the revolution, even after more than four decades.

Imam Khamenei praised the memory and legacy of all the martyrs of the Defenders of the Shrine (defenders of West Asia's security and the holy shrines of the Prophet's household) and the Resistance Front, particularly Martyr Soleimani, and considered defending the holy shrine as a symbolic aspect of defending the thoughts and ideals of its owners. 

The Leader stated that the lofty ideals of the School of the Household of the Prophet, such as justice, freedom, and self-sacrifice in the path of righteousness, have always been present in the pure consciences of those who seek truth.

According to Pars Today, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution considered the movement of American university students in defense of the Gaza people as an example of the existence of pure consciences in the world and added:

It is important that this message of defending the shrine, which is in fact defending the ideals of humanity, reaches the pure consciences in the world.

The Leader considered another dimension of the issue of defending the holy shrines to be the global outlook of the Islamic Revolution and emphasized: Any movement, uprising, or revolution that neglects its international and regional environment will certainly be harmed, just as the Iranian nation's movement in the Constitutional Revolution and in the nationalization of the oil industry was harmed and did not reach its conclusion due to being preoccupied with internal issues and neglecting foreign interference.

The Leader added:

Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul) from the early days of the Islamic movement and also from the beginning of the Islamic Revolution's victory, was always aware of foreign interference and had a global and regional perspective, and did not get bogged down in internal issues. In his statements, he would give the necessary reminders and warnings in this regard.

Imam Khamenei praised the presence of Defenders of the Holy Shrines in countries where the enemy had designed a very dangerous plan for them, as one of the manifestations of the Islamic Revolution's global outlook, and said:

The enemy had intended to eliminate the Islamic system by occupying the region, simultaneously exerting economic and political pressure, as well as "ideological and religious" pressure on Iran. However, a group of faithful young people, centered around the Islamic Republic, thwarted this costly plan of the arrogant powers.

The Leader emphasized that with such a perspective, it must be said that the movement of the Defenders of the Holy Shrines saved Iran and the region.

Referring to the brutal, merciless, and inhumane nature of Daesh and similar groups that were formed with the military and propaganda support of the US and the West, the Leader added:

The goal of these organizations was to insecure the region, especially Iran, but the Defenders of the Holy Shrines also neutralized this great danger.

Imam Khamenei considered the display of the Islamic Revolution's power in reviving its inherent enthusiasm and epic spirit at the beginning of its victory as another dimension of the Defenders of the Holy Shrines movement, and added:

The presence of young people who had not seen Imam Khomeini or the Sacred Defense era, yet came forward to defend the holy shrines, demonstrates the Islamic Revolution's incredible power in reviving the same religious and revolutionary motivations that existed four decades ago.

Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the expectations and analyses of some individuals with Western intellectual foundations, who believed that the Islamic Revolution was weakening and its thoughts and ideals were fading, emphasized:

The purity, bravery, selflessness, sincerity, and 'deep faith in religious principles' among the young Defenders of the Holy Shrines is a remarkable and unparalleled phenomenon that proves the incorrectness of the Western-oriented analyses, and this could not have been achieved without the divine blessings and attention of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution considers events such as Victory of the Revolution rallies and the magnificent funeral processions like that of the Martyr General Soleimani and the Martyrs of Service (Martyr Raeisi and his companions) as other manifestations of the Islamic Revolution's power of regeneration. Imam Khamenei emphasized that the martyrs of the Defenders of the Holy Shrines  and their families are a source of pride, dignity, salvation, and success for Islamic Iran, and the Islamic Revolution is undoubtedly indebted to these martyrs and their families.
