Pars Today- With the end of the vote counting of the presidential election in Iran, Masood Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili will head for a runoff election on July 5.

The 14^th presidential election was held in Iran on June 28. From the total 58,640 polling stations across the country, 24,535,185 votes were cast with following results for each of the candidates:

1. Masood Pezeshkian: 10,415,991 votes
2. Saeed Jalili: 9,471,298 votes
3. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf: 3,383,340 votes
4. Mostafa Poormohammadi: 206,397 votes.

Thus, none of the candidates of the Iranian presidential election won %50 + 1 of the votes; hence, Pezeshkian and Jalili will compete in the runoff on Friday July 5.
