Occupation of Palestine: Obvious example of European colonialism
Pars Today- The occupation of Palestine by migrating Jews is similar to the tactics of the European colonialism and it is a clear example of it.
Wherever the Europeans have gone- Americas, Australia, Africa and so on- they have manifested this vision: seize lands, usurp as much land as you can and destroy those who resist.
Israel has been bombarding Gaza Strip for months with the claim of "annihilating Hamas".
They cannot defeat an ideology. If your territories are occupied, you have the right to resist. With continuation of occupation this ideology will persist and will be conveyed from generation to generation.
Israel wants to force the Palestinians living in Gaza to migrate to Egypt. The aim of Israel is quite clear. It is after creation of a purely Jewish country where there is no Palestinian or Arab. It wants to decrease the population of Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
What Israelis are trying to do in the North is to create a barrier region devoid of Palestinians. They want to cleanse regions like Jebalia and Beit Hanun from Palestinians. Thus, they think that these regions won't be a threat to Israel.
The Jewish population of Palestine in 1917, when the Balfour Declaration led to the declaring of Israel’s independence, was only 56,000. When the regime of British protectorate was set up in 1922, the doors were opened for Jews and migration during the years 1939- 1945 (WWII) till the division plan in 1947 was accelerated. The number of Jews reached 665 thousand. The reason was the British protectorate in Palestine. This meant that Britain was the senior executive manager, but, it should be stressed that the sovereignty does not mean that you are the owner. Sovereignty was never given to Britain.
While the Jewish population in Palestine was on the rise with the British support, Palestinian Arabs were expelled from their land. The number of the Palestinian refugees surpassed 750 thousand in 1948 when Israel announced its "independence".
