Pars Today- Unit 8200 is an Israeli intelligence corps whose mission is to create media war, disseminate rumour, forge social conflicts, hack systems, tapping and decoding.

Establishment of Unit 8200:

This unit was set up in 1952, only four years after the establishment of the Israeli regime, using American equipment. The permanent base of Unit 8200 is in Gilot, North of Tel Aviv.

Unit 8200 is the largest unit of the Israeli War Ministry in terms of force number. Most of the members of this organization are young between the age of 16- 18.

According to the announcement of Defense News base, since 2003, Israel has employed thousands of the high school students in Unit 8200.

Duties of Unit 8200:

The forces of Unit 8200 are employed to promote Zionist thoughts, influence in the Eastern world and the Islamic world, poison cultures and thoughts towards the Eastern communities and Muslims and dealing blows to moral, humane and ideological values. Indeed, Israel has set up a cyber-army to forge conflicts between various nations such as India and Pakistan, China and Japan, and Islamic communities, in a bid to create opportunity for Israel to be able to advance its expansionism and crimes more calmly.

Unit 8200; Israeli cyber army

Now, hundreds of the members of Unit 8200, under the guise of cyberspace users in different countries, are engaged in dissemination of rumour, character assassination, character assassination in independent countries, instigation of religious and political conflicts and so on.

This unit has also the mission of making and application of malwares to strike different countries opposing the Zionist regime.

Among these programs mention can be made of the attempt of this unit to create disorder in the peaceful nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the virus Stuxnet.

Daily Rai Al-Youm, quoting Zionist sources awhile ago, had announced that Unit 8200 considers the Islamic Republic of Iran as its most important rival and enemy in cyber-war and electronic war.

According to the announcement of these sources, many forces of Unit 8200 are fluent in different languages including Farsi.

Reports indicate that the Israeli regime's army, in order to poison the cyberspace against the Islamic Republic system, makes its forces familiar with Farsi language from primary school.

Some of the activities of this group are writing comments and forging media hype against the political figures of the Iranian system and weakening of Iran's anti-colonialist view in the world.

In addition, these persons, for espionage purposes, embark on collecting and monitoring active users in different countries.

Among other activities of this unit mention should be made of direction of numerous terror operations in West Asia.

In 2010, New York Times, quoting an American security official, gave news of the unit's operation in the Syrian soil.

According to New York Times, Unit 8200 in 2007, through collection of data, had given the Israeli Air Force the information needed for targeting the Syrian nuclear site in Deir ez-Zor.

According to the announcement of Israeli security sources, this unit uses drones, too, for terror operations in the regional countries.

Yossi Melman, Israeli journalist and military expert, announced in this regard that there is no intelligence operation in the Occupied Territories in the absence of Unit 8200 and any operation outside the Occupied Lands enjoys intelligence coverage of Unit 8200.
