Social media users' reaction to the use of fake images for Syrian prisons

Pars Today - Social media users reacted to the publication of fake images about Syrian prisons.

Following the fall of the Syrian government and the entry of some journalists and Syrian citizens into the prisons of this country, the rumor market heated up. According to Pars Today, citing fact-checking websites, many fake images produced by artificial intelligence were attributed to the government of "Bashar al-Assad".

Nasser Khakbaz, a user of the X social network, by revealing a fake video of the release of a Syrian prisoner wrote: "In this era when anyone can produce rumors using artificial intelligence, nothing can be trusted anymore. Especially in times of crisis!"

Seyyed Ali Mousavi, another user of the X social network, also wrote: "Real images of the Sednaya prison in Syria have been published, but some people are publishing fake images to get more likes and attention!"

Another user named Hamed also wrote by uploading a fake video: "The man whose video of his release from the Sednaya prison in Syria was widely viewed on media and social media was a TikTok influencer."
