Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the Sayyidah Zaynab (pbuh) area of Damascus, which led to the martyrdom of Seyed Farhan Hassan al-Mansour, a Muslim scholar and the Friday prayer leader of the shrine of Sayyidah Zaynab (pbuh).

According to Pars Today, Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressing deep abhorrence over this heinous crime, stated: terrorist acts against religious sites and clerics in Syria and the region are part of a sinister plot by the Israeli regime and the United States to sow sedition and division in the countries of the region. He therefore stressed that all parties must remain vigilant regarding such plots and fulfill their responsibilities to confront terrorism and extremism decisively.

He also extended his condolences to the family of the martyred scholar, the Syrian people, and the country’s community of religious scholars, emphasizing the necessity of identifying and punishing the perpetrators and those behind this terrorist crime, as well as the importance of collective cooperation among regional countries to eradicate terrorism.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs further stressed the responsibility of Syria’s transitional government to ensure the security of the people, religious scholars, and all ethnic and religious groups in the country.
