U.S. attack on wedding ceremony in southern Iran / 4 martyred, 68 injured

Pars Today — The deputy governor-general for political, security, and social affairs of Hormozgan Province in southern Iran has announced that four people were martyred and 68 others injured following a U.S. attack on a wedding ceremony in the city of Kuhestak, Sirik County.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Ahmad Nafisi provided details of the U.S. attack on the wedding ceremony in Kuhestak, Sirik County, saying that 15 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to assist the victims and that search-and-rescue and debris-removal operations had been completed.

Nafisi, referring to the ongoing assessment of the injured, said: “Given the circumstances and the condition of some of those affected, the death toll may rise. The final figures will be announced once the assessments and medical procedures have been completed.”

Iranian Government Spokeswoman: Evidence of U.S. Crimes in Minab and Sirik Is Clear

Meanwhile, Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokeswoman for the Iranian government, wrote on her personal page early Wednesday: “In Minab, they targeted students behind their desks; in Sirik, they turned a wedding celebration into mourning.”

She added: “In both cases, the evidence of the U.S. crime is clear—no claim can conceal it. The government shares in the grief of the people of Hormozgan and stands with them.”
