Pars Today- While some Zionist regime officials speak of unprecedented pressure on the Palestinian resistance, analysts for Zionist media outlets offer a different view, emphasizing that Hamas continues to resist stubbornly and has shown no signs of collapse or surrender.
Avi Issacharoff, analyst for the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, reacting to the recent response from the Hamas movement regarding the proposal presented by Steve Witkoff, US special envoy to the West Asia region, said: The Hamas response clearly indicates that, contrary to some claims within Israel that Hamas is under severe pressure and close to collapse, such an event has not yet occurred. According to Pars Today, quoting ISNA, he admitted: Hamas has shown no signs that it is willing to surrender or hand over its weapons.
In this regard, "Asaf Meidani", another analyst for the same newspaper, described the internal situation of the Zionist regime as very fragile and said: The problem is that Israel no longer has the capacity or resilience to endure more months of deadlock; neither in the military sphere, nor in the reconstruction of the southern and northern regions, nor on the domestic political front, nor in confronting Western pressures.
He added: All these problems have intensified while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's sole objective is to preserve his own political survival.
These assessments emerge amidst a continuing stalemate in negotiations concerning a ceasefire and prisoner exchange between Hamas and the Zionist regime, with US mediation thus far yielding no tangible results. Meanwhile, Hamas response to the latest US proposal indicates the movement's insistence on its primary demands, particularly a permanent ceasefire and the lifting of the blockade, while Tel Aviv has so far refused to accept such conditions.
The Hamas movement announced on Saturday evening that it had responded to Witkoff's proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Steve Witkoff described Hamas response as "totally unacceptable" and claimed that it had set the negotiations backward.
However, Hamas has denied the claim of rejecting the proposal, stating: Our response was precisely within the framework of the discussed agreement, but it was the Zionist regime that provided a response contrary to the terms of the agreement.
The Hamas movement clarified in an official statement that "Witkoff's stance towards Hamas has been unfair and completely biased, violating the necessary neutrality in the role of a mediator."
