Yemen's Ansaralluh: Bab el-Mandeb Strait completely closed to Saudi shipping

Pars Today – A member of Yemen's Ansarullah movement's Political Bureau has said that the Bab el-Mandeb Strait has been completely closed to Saudi shipping.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of Ansarullah's Political Bureau, told Al-Manar TV that the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is now fully closed to Saudi maritime traffic. He added that it would not be in the United States' interest to become involved in the war in Yemen alongside Saudi Arabia.

Al-Bukhaiti said that if the United States enters the Yemen war, it would provide Ansarullah with an opportunity to strike U.S. forces.

He further stated that any escalation would be met with a corresponding escalation, adding that the countries and groups comprising the Axis of Resistance are prepared for confrontation with Israel.

Al-Bukhaiti's remarks came after Abdulwahid Abu Ras, Yemen's Deputy Foreign Minister, said that the United States, despite its military power, failed to achieve its objective of forcing the Yemeni people into submission and ultimately accepted defeat.

Abu Ras added that Saudi Arabia's continued insistence on blockading Yemen and seizing its resources would come at a heavy economic cost for the Kingdom.
